Chadwick & Rueling

Check out Chadwick Uptain and Matt Ruelings handmade jewelry and stonework. Based out of downtown Phoenix, these two guys handpick, polish, and shape their own stones and hand cast jewelry in their Jefferson district studio. All original, all hand made, all these two guys. Had the privilege of documenting their extensive catalouge. Here's a sample:

Great post and photos. Chadwick just started working on a piece for my wife's b-day. It's very cool to see local people making jewelry that's more modern and distinct than most of the easier-to-find stuff.

Hi, gentlemen,
I have had the pleasure of checking out your work and it is really impressive. I was directed here by an acquaintance of yours
Kelly Aubey, my closest friend, and he spoke very highly of what you do and how important it is to not only the art scene but to the community (another gentleman named Tato is a friend of his)so , i told him that i would let you know what i think. I am a steelworker by trade (layout, welding, red-iron work) and when i see stuff like this i feel like i am in the armpit of the industry. Which is ok...but it isn't art, and I like art, I really appreciate the marriage of form and function and some of the more obscure undercurrents that are prevailant(please pardon my spelling and grammer)in having a living dialogue
with metal and stone and what it means or might mean to discover the inherency of a form embedded as it often is in a condition of primordialism; where people can re-invent themselves and be reflected in what they do. Something I would like to aspire to. And do.
So thank you and I wish you all the best. Patrick.
